Freshman year was FULL of them...
Going down the stairs of Nelson Hall on my way to class (or maybe work) I'm just walking along, going down the steps - not even in a hurry - and actually wearing my new balances instead of the usual flip flops. Well, the cleaning lady spilled some water on the steps and didn't realize it...sure did fall on my ass down 4 or 5 CONCRETE stairs (in front of a bunch of snobby little daddy's girls and the cleaning lady)...Yeah, that's how I broke my tailbone! 3 years later it still gives me problems cause tailbones DON'T HEAL!!!
Ok, so like a week after I broke my tailbone, it got piss cold (I know, amazing for abilene). Well, it kinda snowed (more like just froze everything) one night and the next day the sun came out and melted everything and it was like 75 - 80 degrees outside. I sure as hell did find the ONLY two outside steps on campus that still had a nice coat of ice on them! Down I went...onto my ass...down two more stairs...in front of 2 incredibly gorgeous Ag guys...and it hurt so bad all I could do was lay there and cry. They offered to help me up and take me to the doctor...but I was so damn embarassed I yelled at them and told them I was FINE and to just LEAVE ME ALONE!! Damn...my future husband could have been in one of those two guys...or at least a good kissy face partner!
So fast forward from that day about another 2 weeks. I was in a good mood and decided I was actually going to attend chapel (this is an incredibly rare thing for me). I had some extra time, so I got me a cup of coffee from the little place in the AD building (where I worked at the time) and headed over to Moody. I'm just walkin along, sipping my coffee, talking to my roomie on my cell when BAM! I'm laying on the sidewalk face down, hurting like a sonuvabitch, with my backpack still attached but over my head, my coffee about a half a block away, my cell phone in 2 pieces a half a block the other way and 9483459385 people (remember, it's chapel time) walking around me and laughing or running to my rescue. Needless to say, I turned around and went back to the dorms and took a nap! Fuck Chap-hell!
Oh wait, there's more! Did I mention this was one of the unluckiest semesters EVER!?
Later that week (yeah, didn't even get to live the previous one down before another happened!) I was on my way back to the dorm from work. I had my coffee in hand, but refrained from talking on the cell phone because I figured I needed to focus all of my attention on staying on my feet! It had rained (i know, crazy) so there were big puddles everywhere. Those of you who have ever been at acu when it has rained know how deep those puddles can get! So I'm walking, trying to avoid puddles at all costs (i was wearing flip flops and that water was f-ing cold!). I was walking across the parking lot between Foster and Nelson when I heard someone call my name, so I turned around but didn't see anyone. Well, I turned back around and a car came around the corner like a bat out of hell heading right towards me. So i went to step up on the curb to get the hell out of dodge and my foot slipped...So, not only did the car splash my backside, I landed on my hands and knees - half of me in a puddle, the other half in the wet nasty grass...backpack over head AGAIN, coffee all over me, cup nowhere to be found and of course a bunch of 1st floor bitches snickering.
There are more, but that's all you get for now!
And people wonder why I hate ACU so much!!!

Oh, Brandy...I'm honored to be the one that was on the phone with you whenever you fell. Those were the days, and I miss them dearly!!! How about the time I fell off the bed...or the killer cockroach (how the hell did that thing get to the 3rd floor??)...or the time...oh there's too many. Bad influence dance!!! HAHAHA! I need to see that dance some mornings....but it's probably better that I don't. I love you, my klutzy friend!!
