Men Men Men Men Manly Men Men Men....

That would be the theme song to one of my absolute favorite shows. However, this is not another post about my addiction to TV. I just felt the need to talk about the men in my life...yeah...i'm a pimp ;-)

First off...there's my fantabulous Daddy! Have I told you how much I love my Daddy? He takes care of his baby girl. OK, let me rephrase that...he takes care of all his girls. Poor guy - a wife, 3 daughters, and a grandaughter. You know, we thought Jake was going to be a girl, so he was SUPER excited when Jake popped out! Then RJ came along and now he's just happy as can be.

So, anyway, back to why he's so fantabulous. He's funny, he's adorable (just look at him!), he's sooooo laid back, and he takes care of business. Not to mention he's super stinkin talented. If you've never heard my Daddy sing, you haven't fully lived. Seriously! He's pretty much the sweetest man I've ever known...oh! And he ADORES his mother-in-law...yep! he's a winner in my book!

Ladies and Gentelmen... meet Friend. Yep, Friend has a face! He takes care of me too...way more than I should let him. He gave me shelter and fed me when the utilities were shut off at my house and money was practically non-existant. OK, so he still feeds me pretty much every night...In fact, we went to Sweetwater on Sunday and ate at Ms. Allen's...YUM! Now that's love! When I leave his house after one of our TV nights, he stands at the door and watches until I get into my car. OK, so he turns the porch light on and off but I've just come to expect it from him. He makes me laugh and refuses to let me stay in a pissy mood. My favorite thing about Friend? The fact that we can joke and b.s. and give each other a hard time and just laugh about it. I adore his 2 youngest children. Morgy and Emily are PRECIOUS!! Friend even makes standing in the que at the airport fun. I think we were singing Lion King tunes right before this picture was taken....

Yep...this little fella would be the absolute love of my life! Jake is well...Jake. There's just no way to fully describe this little man. He's HILARIOUS! He constantly makes me laugh, even when he's being a ring-tailed tooter. He's so sweet and adores his Mimi. He loves everyone and cares about everyone. When we have family get togethers (yeah we have one like every 20 minutes) he greets EVERYONE. Most everyone gets a hug too. When Biddy walks in the door, his eyes light up, he yells "BIDDY!!!" drops whatever he's doing and runs full speed to jump into my arms with a huge smile on his face. He gives me a big squeeze and a kiss and then asks if i have a prize for him. haha

he just melts my heart....

And of course...there's my Papa. Oh what can I say about my Papa...He was my rock. He was my best friend. He was everything to me...
oh how i miss him....
there's no way to describe how incredibly funny he was. he never met a stranger, and anyone that knew him, loved him. that was incredibly evident at his funeral. it was packed. we received cards and flowers for several weeks after he died...
he is one very special, very missed man...
there are lots of other fellows in my life, both past and present. Those who have gone on to be with Jesus: Mac, Uncle Ancel, and Dan...
Those still with us (thank goodness): Jerry (My Ann's husband), Coy, my uncle Franklin, my cousins Joe, Jeremy, Tyler, and Justin, my precious Uncle Royce...
like I said...I'm a pimp ;-)
