not much to report on my end. i babysat the emotionally disturbed greyhound again. this time i have pictures! it's almost 1 a.m. so i'm going to have to post them after i've gotten some sleep. i know, you're just chomping at the bit with excitement!
oh! today (saturday) was pedicure day. AND i took pictures of my toes, actually on pedicure day! I am SO proud of myself haha they are simple, and super cute. ok, not exactly simple by most people's standards, but by Diana's they are simple. see for yourself:
i know, right?!
now, some of you may have noticed i've added yet another piece of shit button to my sidebar. i call it "project straighten biddy's spine." i got this idea from Scott (though i'm pretty sure he was joking), and figured I would give it a shot. you know how bossy has a donation jar for her awesome roadtrip? well, this is a donation jar to help me pay for one more injection.
You see, they are $1000 a pop (that's the discounted price) and i have no insurance. i "make too much money" to qualify for any sort of federal assistance, yet i am well below the poverty line. that makes SO much sense. now, if i had a kid or cancer they would sign me RIGHT up. Sorry Uncle Sam, i'm not going to contribute to our overpopulated, welfare ridden society just to get insurance....though it is tempting. I have applied all over town for jobs with benefits and have had no luck whatsoever. I don't get it! I have a great work history....why will no one hire me!? my parents have paid for the first 2 injections (and no, you don't get a returning customer discount).
i know, some of you are thinking "if the first 2 didn't work, whaty makes you think a 3rd will?" Well, I'm glad you asked :-) You see, after the first 2, I just resumed normal day to day activities when I should have actually been in physical therapy. no one mentioned physical therapy to me. p.t. will help strengthen my core which will help prevent reinjury to my back. PT is pretty limited right now because my spine is so crooked and i'm in SO much pain. The injection will help tremendously with the pain and help me ease my spine back into position, thus enabling me to begin more intense PT. make sense?
so anyway, I doubt I will get any donations, but I figured it was worth a shot. I'm also going to be making purses again and putting them up for sale for the same purpose. Incidentally, I will be giving 10% of donations and sales to my church. I guess it's just my way of paying it forward. If you donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you don't, i still love you, just please say a prayer for me because I've pretty much lost my Jesus thanks to being in pain and walking like the hunchback of Notre Dame for so long.
p.s. in case you're thinking cutting pedicure day out would help, it wouldn't. In fact, I would probably be a nutcase without pedicure day. Relax, I don't pay for my pedicures. I trade out massages with the toe artist...it's the greatest deal ever...

I painted my toenails black...my kids are all upset about it...saying I'm too old.
I need a purse, so I'm anxiously awaiting the photos:)
You keep your pedicure day! Everybody needs something to rely on. ;p
