the bar & a visit from austin

so, remember like twenty years ago when i spent a very long time drinking? whadya mean "which time?" ugh...you people...the last(ish) time. when i stayed there for like 7 hours. anyway, somewhere between drinks, i noticed a woman sitting at a table near us. she looked like meryl friggin streep. i pointed this out to itali rosario and he was all "you're crazy" or something like that. but then, he finally saw what i saw. meryl friggin streep. i lurve me some meryl streep. maybe it was the alcohol (or maybe because rosario said i probably shouldn't ask her to take a picture with me), but i became bound and determined to get this woman's picture. i tried with my cell phone, but seriously, we were in a dark bar. the cell phone wasn't going to cut it. so, i got really inebriated brave and pulled out my real camera. i didn't want to be too obvious so i turned the flash off. i guess the alcohol made me think my pictures looked better than they actually turned out:

anyway, moving on...

my middle sister's freshman year at TCU, i would go visit her and stay in the dorms. i thought i was the shit. i was in 6th grade and hanging out with real live college students. one of the girls that lived on sister's hall, mandy, was always especially sweet to me and even took me to a movie once (so my sister could go party but that's neither here nor there). anyway, we've all grown up some since then and now mandy is a wife and a mommy and lives in austin. her hubby went on a fishing trip, so she took the opportunity to bring their two beautiful boys, Gray & Creighton, to abilene for a visit. i'm so so glad they did!

this is gray. he just turned 3 and has as good a vocabulary as jake.

this is 15 week old Creighton. he is sweet and precious and so laid back.
oh, and he's tiny. that's a preemie paci in his mouth. please excuse my giant blue boob...

gray & jake played so so well together.
they kind of look like brothers, dontcha think?


speaking of looking alike,
it sure is a shame jake looks nothing like his momma *snort*

ahhh back to my love, creighton. he was fussy, but biddy got him to sleep
