have you ever found yourself thinking "when was the last time i fed the dog?" no? just me? well, shit.
ok, in my defense, Chablis climbs the fence and goes next door to play with Deuce & Harley pretty much every day they are home. So, i'm sure she eats their food. Also, I keep a ginormous bowl of food outside for her instead of a teeny tiny one. so, she's never without food for long.
anyway, i found myself thinking that a few days ago and realized i was out of dog food. shit. i hate buying dog food. i hate the smell with a passion and going down the dog food aisle is well, vomit inducing. i know, i'm weird. have you ever found yourself making your own dog food out of whatever you can find in the fridge? no? just me? shit...
seriously, the dog has been eating better than me. it's really sad that i cook more for her than myself. scrambled eggs, roasted chicken and ham have been on chablis' menu lately. i did finally break down and go buy her some dog food. i filled her bowl and after she ate the whole thing, she plopped down in front of the bag and just stared at it for a good hour.
guess her new diet wasn't as filling as i thought. ooops! don't worry...i'm much better with kids!
so, moving on from my awful parenting skillz.

You are NOT the only one to forget to feed your doggies. Sometimes I forget, and I start to hear someone's stomach growling. Or, I see my black lab jump up real quick, all spooked out, and I realize he hears his stomach growling. How sad is that????
