Biddy is feelin better again! Not great, but much better than I was. Thank Goodness! Today would have been a great day had I not had to go to a funeral. A very good friend of the family, Lee Ann, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday. We were neighbors for years, then she and my mom worked together for 13 years. Her son, Brett, and I are 2 months apart and spent many days playing when we were kids and were even driver's ed partners in high school. I babysat her daughter, Lindsay, who now goes to Cooper, and Mike, her wonderful husband, is a Sargeant for the APD. We went to church together the past 6 years...we were pretty close I guess. It's really hard to believe that she was only 2 years older than my mom...I just can't imagine what that family is going through! So, if you're the praying kind, keep their family in your prayers. Her poor mother has now buried two of her six children....
ok...so...other than that I'm doing pretty good. Best Friend had neck surgery yesterday and all went well. So well, in fact, that he's home today! I'm going to be staying with him for a few days (even though he swears he's fine) to keep an eye on him and help him out. Good thing he's got a comfy couch! I tried to get him to come stay with me, but he just wants to be home...Why are men so dang stubborn!?
Took the day off today....Wasn't planning on it, but I woke up with a headache and all the crying I did at Lee Ann's funeral just made it a whole lot worse. So, after the funeral, I called the office, got me some coffee, let Katie Dog (mrs. perkins' emotionally disturbed greyhound) out, spent some time with Best Friend, ended up spending like 3 hours with Suggie (trying desperately not to throw up from the pounding in my head), then took a nap on BF's couch. I'm worried about Katie Dog. She seemed like she didn't feel very well and hardly touched her food (she only eats once a day, so she usually scarfs it down). That dog is really a child trapped in a greyhound's body...it's hilarious. I normally think Greyhounds are ugly, but Katie Dog (I have to call her that because mrs. perkins also has a daughter named katie...long story) is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen one with her coloring...
OK, so now I'm rambling...anyway...I think I really needed that time with Suggie. She's still having a really rough time (obviously, seeing as how she just buried her daughter a few weeks ago) and I think it helps to have people around her. She is precious...yeah, can make me a mad hatter at times, but she really is precious and I love her so very much.....
yeah think i'm gonna go take me a hot shower and make BF go to bed until he can take some more Hydrocodone...
peace
