Looks like you've gotten quite a bit of rain just like we have here in H-town. So far this week has been nothing but rain and thunderstorms. It's expected to continue all week. Wheeee.
I know Abilene's drainage isn't worth crap. I don't think Houston's is either.
From what I remember from the 5 years I was in west TX... it's so dry that the ground can't soak the water up fast enough. Here the ground gets saturated and it keeps raining. Same result ~ flooding.
Our street already flooded this year. Water was creeping up into the yard, covering the sidewalk. Kids were wading in the street. Gah! Thankfully it didn't reach the house.
Was that a Mockingbird and N 1st???
yep!! the pumps quit working and it filled RIGHT UP!
