the churchloft

seriously, they rock

so, part of our Bossy Party included a field trip to Deb's churchloft. it's a 16,000 sq foot mammoth, she and her family are remodeling/restoring into a home. how stinkin cool is that? the place is awesome.

Bossy & I discovered we'd need to go across the street to take a picture of the whole building, and since we'd had a few margaritas and it was Dallas, we decided what we could get from the lawn was good enough :-) You can go over to Deb's place and see much much better more pictures of the place...

Daughter's Shower...

one of the 11 1/2 bathrooms

ok, so i'm obsessed with bathrooms

the place has one, two, three....eleven and a half bathrooms. yes, i said eleven and a half. and i fell in love with the tile work in every. single. one. the bathrooms pretty much convinced me i need to move in and be The Boy's nanny and Deb's new best friend :-)

The Boy's Bedroom Doors

The Boy's Bathroom "Vanity"

The Boy's Vanity

Speaking of The Boy, here are the doors to his manly room and the vanity for his, what's that? oh yes, his (faux) crocodile leathered walls bathroom. check it out! his grandad is making steps that slide out of the vanity so The Boy can reach his sink all by himself! Of course, they're probably going to have to install a lock or alarm on the faucets, but still, how cool is that!? also? there is definitely a stage in his room! it will have leopard print carpet and his drumset will be housed there. there's so many awesome details in this place. i wish i had taken more pictures!

one of the pianos...

boy i'd hate to attempt tuning that piano...there are several pianos in the place. i mean, it is a churchloft! considering the pianos, i'm going to take a wild guess and say it wasn't a C.O.C. ;-)

Tour Guide

i'm so in love with all the exposed brick. i don't know what it is about exposed brick, but it makes my eyes very happy.

LOVE the floors!
Deb is crazily
bravely redoing every. single. one of the 488943598 stained glass windows. i stole borrowed this pic from bossy because i just couldn't go up another flight of stairs :-)
