slacker, yeah that's me

hey kids! miss me? yeah, probably not many of you did. i gotta tell you, this whole not having internet at my disposal pretty much sucks ass! I did break down and go next door yesterday and told Neighbor i was fixing her internet so she doesn't have to have her new laptop hooked up to the modem. yes, it was totally for my own personal gain. now, she thinks i'm awesome because she can use her laptop anywhere in the house and i can steal her internet. it's totally a win/win if you ask me. of course, now that i have access to teh internetz via laptop, i'm realizing that the 6 different posts i sent from my awesome phone of awesomness (that is so NOT awesome btw) never came through! argh...stupid internetz! stupid phone! yeah, my $400 phone has turned out to be a piece of shit. i'm hoping i just got a lemon and when they replace it all will be well in the world.

so let's see...what's been going on...

first, i have to tell you the news! so, i already have one hilarious cousin in the blogosphere, and now another awesome cousin has joined! my cousin, casey, has started a blog and i'm very excited about this. casey is a writer at heart and i firmly believe she will be published and famous someday. she's currently living in rainville (aka washington state) with her new hubby and she started a blog to keep us up to date on the life and times.

oh, my precious friend, sharon, has started a blog design business. homegirl is awesome! let her give your bloggy a facelift! i'm going to have her work on mine cause it srsly needs it!

i talked to juliet on the phone today, for the first time since she moved!! it's funny because i expected there to be a delay like when i was in Africa, but there wasn't (duh, brandy, there wasn't one in italy either). she might as well have been sitting right next to me. it was really good to talk to her, but i hate that Paris is not the magical place she expected it to be. i'm praying things get easier and happier for her. please do the same.

Rimmy has finally started blogging again and that makes me happy. now if i could just get him to respond to texts, things would be almost normal again...well, at least in the Rimmy department.

i'm a horrible friend, in case y'all haven't noticed. i have been so caught up in my own pity party (which, by the way, involves lots of sewing and baking), that i totally and completely forgot to even call or email Lou on a day that she needed every loved one to support and love her. Even worse, I'm starting to think I saw her on that day and I did hug her, but for a completely different reason. Lou, I'm so sorry. I am an ass. I promise I will make it up to you. Also? I have a birthday present for Miss Mak (whom i totally and completely forgot to call as well).

as i said before, i don't quite know how VUBOQ keeps such a great attitude during unemployment! it's just about KILLING ME PEOPLE. Yes, i am subbing a little, but not enough to make ends meet by any means. I'm still waiting for Social Security to make a decision on my temporary disability application. as much as i hate to become a statistic and live off the government, i really need this to be approved. it's the only way (short of a freak accident that's someone else's fault) i'm going to get the help i need in order to get my back fixed. sigh...

Neighbor managed to sell one of the puppies (yes, i still have them...ugh) yesterday. it was hard to watch him go, but i know he's going to be so incredibly loved! i let her keep the money since she put the ad in the paper (and feeds the pups as much as i do). however, if anymore of them sell, we're splitting the money. they're only $25 and that's just because we didn't want them going to just anyone who sees "free puppy." generally if people are willing to pay for a pup, they'll take better care of them. generally....

speaking of the pups, they're fucking huge. HUGE. the little butterballs are just about as big as chablis. the boy that was sold yesterday definitely weighs a lot more than chablis. they are so. damn. fat. it's absolutely hilarious. one of the girls, whom i like to call the red headed stepchild, looks nothing like the rest of the bunch. she looks just like dad (a german shephard). i wonder if i could sell her as a german shephard?? tempting...

last, but not least, i have a new idea for my crafty blog. i've already changed the name of it and i'm still working out the new plan, but i think it's going to be a hit. hopefully...

now, if you will excuse me, i'm going to go lay in bed and wait for 4 a.m. to roll around so i can go to sleep. this insomnia shit is going to be the death of me peeps...
