Hey there! As you can tell, I ain't Biddy... but I might be just as sassy as she is. She has decided to take a little break and asked some of her blog buddies to fill in while she is gone (but not forgotten)... I am just some ole southern nut in Richmond, Virginia who blogs about his life, friends and other crap... apparently some people actually like me (like Biddy)... In honor of blogging for Biddy (sounds like an ad campaign)... I decided to take my blogging outside this morning... so, as you can see in pic above... screwdriver in hand, I am out on my porch making this post... yup, I am a drinker and while the rest of the world may be spiritual in church... I like to drink my spirits on Sunday morning... Yes, call me a drunk... but it is a day of rest and what better way to spend a day than sitting on my ass having a lot of cocktails. Granted, I may feel like shit on Monday, but you know you cannot watch Housewives and Brothers and Sisters sober, it takes the fun out of the shows... yea, I am starting a bit early, but it is supposed to be really nice here today and I will be able to take a nap in the hammock this afternoon and it will make it all better. I have never really been a guest blogger for anyone, so I really don't know what to blog about. I don't really know who reads Biddy's blog, so I don't want to really say anything to offend anyone... I could talk politics or be really sexual, but I won't. I would like Biddy and all her blog readers to just sit back and enjoy the day. Fix a drink... lay in the sun or on the sofa... kiss your partner or your pet... have some comfort food... throw caution to the wind... have a "me" day or a "we" day... take a moment to soak up life, because no matter how bad things are in your life... you have life... if you are reading this, it means you woke up and were not under six feet of dirt. Life is a rocky road and believe me, I have been feeling those rocks lately, but we have to move onward and upward. Each set back in life is for a reason. We live and learn and hopefully in the end, we become better people for it... in the words of the great Auntie Mame... "Live!... Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death... live! live! live!"
Thanks Biddy for letting me take over for a bit... (check out my blog www.kellystern.net)... had to do some self promotion... Y'all have a wonderful Sunday... now where is my cocktail???
