I could have sworn that I graduated high school 4 1/2 years ago and have been attending a UNI-FREAKIN-VERSITY ever since. I'm beginning to think I was sadly mistaken! Does the high school drama crap ever end!? I really wonder...allow me to explain:
Tuesday, I walk into my marketing class. There is a girl standing right behind my seat (we'll call her girl a) talking to another girl (who we'll call girl b) on the row behind mine. So, I'm standing there, waiting for girl A to quit jaw-jacking so that I can sit down (she saw me, saw me put my stuff down, and never bothered to move till she was done). Anyway, this is how the conversation went (in complete and total seriousness):
Girl A: "like oh my gosh I am seriously ticked about this!"
Girl B: "yeah they are totally NOT taking pledging seriously!"
Girl A: "oh and did you see so-in-so? She was wearing a shirt that's PINK! They know they are so not allowed to wear pink or green until after pledging! And she all wanted to argue with me and say that it wasn't pink!"
Girl B: "no way! she actually argued with you about it!?"
Girl A: "yes! she totally did! like seriously, it doesn't matter if it's blue or orange or purple or whatever! If I say it's pink, it's pink and they have to change! I am seriously about to send out a mass email and ask them who are they to F with tradition?!"
You have GOT to be kidding me...the conversation went on and on like this for a good 10 minutes. I guess girl a finally saw that oh! someone was waiting on their seat, so she moved and proceeded her life and death discussion about pledging elsewhere. Why? I understand people at ACU take club very serious...but seriously there are 246854168196 reasons and counting as to why I did not pledge. They aren't even national sororities or fraternities! Don't get me wrong...had I gone to like UT or TCU or somewhere, I more than likely would have pledeged Zeta but I didn't....
Anyway, I just feel like the "social clubs" at ACU are just another way to get everyone to conform to the ACU cult ways and that's just not me...
Do these girls seriously have no clue how stupid and idiotic they sound?
Ugh...it just goes to show...Stupid people shouldn't breed

Amen, sister. I heard a "brat a" having the same conversation the other day with a "frat b." it's ridiculous.
