i'm ok...

i've regained use of my leg and have once again been told "you really need surgery."

gee, why didn't i think of that? oh wait, i have. unfortunately i don't have the ability to pull $20,000 outta my ass. oh don't i wish...

so, unfortunately i have MORE bad news. remember when i said when it rains, it fucking pours? check this shit out:

3 weeks ago, one of my mom's cousin died.

9 days ago, my nana died.

4 days ago, my cousin's grandfather in law died.

last night, hailey's stepdad, Brad, was killed by a drunk driver. he and a friend were in his kubota, driving from the neighbor's house to his to get something, then they were going to head back to the party at the neighbor's house. unfortunately, just before they turned onto brad's road (their house is in the boonies), a truck struck the kubota. it killed brad instantly. his friend is in the hospital in critical condition. the driver of the truck has been arrested. there's no way he couldn't have seen them in the kubota. it has headlights, tail lights...it's practically a car. he was just too drunk to respond. literally 5 more seconds and brad would have been safely on his road. five seconds. i just thank the lord that melinda, hailey's mom, was not with him. had they been heading home from the party, she would have been. hailey's dad died when she was in the 8th grade. i can't imagine what she and melinda must be going through right now....

so, my dear internetz, please continue to pray for our family. since papa died, we've become pros when it comes to funerals and quite frankly, it's ridiculous. i realize when you have a family as ginormous as ours, shit happens, but damn...
